Description

The Ermenrich EM20 Electromagnetic Field Detector is a compact handheld tool that is used to detect and measure electric and magnetic fields in order to identify potential health threats, prevent electric shock during installation work, assess house safety before buying/renting, etc. Exposure to strong electromagnetic fields on humans can cause high fatigue, depression, and decreased performance. It can also lead to changes in organ function and the development of neurodegenerative diseases. This is why it is important to regularly check the safety of residential and work premises in order to prevent the negative consequences of excessively active electromagnetic background.

The Ermenrich EM20 detector measures electric field strength (units of measurement: V/m, range: 1–1999V/m) and magnetic induction (units of measurement: µT, i.e., microtesla, range: 0.01–99.99µT) – parameters that help you quickly assess the safety of the environment. It is well-suited for routine home inspections and monitoring a wide range of situations at enterprises. The device is useful when searching for hidden wiring, checking the EMF levels of household appliances, assessing the electromagnetic background in apartments located near power lines or transformer booths. The device is practical for monitoring electromagnetic fields in production facilities near machines and generators as well as diagnosing workplaces for compliance with the health and safety regulations, etc. The device measures electromagnetic fields with a minimal error of 1V/m or 0.01µT. The detector screen displays results in less than 2 seconds, ensuring quick readings.

The Ermenrich EM20 simultaneously measures electric and magnetic field parameters with a single button press. If the device displays no readings after a measurement, the radiation intensity is outside the measurable range of the EMF meter. When a value is displayed on the screen, one of the messages appears: “Safe” (safe radiation level) or “Harmful” (dangerous radiation level). To quickly alert users to readings exceeding the set threshold, the device incorporates an audiovisual alarm that activates when 40V/m and 0.4 µT levels are exceeded.

With a fully charged battery, the detector operates for at least 20 hours. There is also a low battery indicator. The sensor service life is 2–3 years, depending on the intensity of use.

Key features:

  • Simultaneous measurement of electric and magnetic field parameters in wide ranges of 1–1999V/m and 0.01–99.99µT, respectively
  • The body is made of high-strength and wear-resistant engineering grade ABS plastic
  • Bandwidth from 5Hz to 3500MHz is suitable for testing both small and very large electronics
  • Audible and visual alarm when maximum allowable levels are exceeded guaranteeing it won’t be missed
  • Sampling time (measurement update rate): <0.5 sec, response time (processed result output): <2 sec

The kit includes:

  • EMF detector
  • USB Type-C cable
  • User manual and warranty card
